Weak Hadeeth #8: Allah praying the funeral of Muhammad

فَإِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَنْ يُصَلِّي عَلَيَّ الرَّبُّ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ فَوْقِ عَرْشِهِ، ثُمَّ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، ثُمَّ مِيكَائِيلُ، ثُمَّ إِسْرَافِيلُ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ، ثُمَّ الْمَلَائِكَةُ زُمَرًا زُمَرًا،

A part of a very lengthy hadeeth states :
The very first one to pray over me (i.e my funeral) is the Lord (Allah) himself above his `Arsh  [1] followed by Jibraeel `alayhis salaam, then followd by Mikaeel and then by Israafeel and then all the angels in groups after groups will pray over me …..

[1] Before we proceed to display how this narration is a fabrication, i’d like to bring to your notice that even if the sufis and people of lies such as tariq jameel (who has infamously spread this narration) do consider this narration as authentic, then here the prophet is reported to clearly have said Allah from above his `Arsh. This sentence alone is an annihilation of their twisted doctrine (`Aqeedah). So they should have been a little more smarter before they propagated this riwayah
Status : Weak and Fabricated 
The chain in Tabraani is :
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْمُنْعِمِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ بْنِ سِنَانٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، وَعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
the narrator `Abdul Mun`im ibn Idrees ibn Sinaan (d 228 A.H) is weak and a liar .  (he is also present in the sanad of Hilya)
1) Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal said : 
كَانَ يكذب على وهب
he used to lie upon وهب بن منبه  
2) Imam Yahya ibn Ma`een said : 
 كَذَّاب خَبِيث
Liar, and a khabeeth
3) Ibn Madeeni said
لَيْسَ بِثِقَة
which actually means he is weak in the hadeeth terminology but literally translates as he is not strong
4) Abu Dawood as-Sijastani (أبو دواد السجستاني ) said like wise Ali ibn
Madeeni
5) أحمد بن شعيب النسائي said 
He is not strong
6) ad-Daraqutni said : 
He and his father both are rejected
7) Imam adh-Dhahabi said : 
تركوه، ومرة: مشهور قصاص ليس يعتمد عليه واحد
Abandoned and elsewhere he said he is famous for narrating tales and no one considered him
8)عمرو بن علي الفلاس  said he is rejected …
متروك الحديث أخذ كتب أبيه فحدث بها عن أبيه ولم يكن سمع من أبيه شيئا
9) Imam al-Bukhaari elsewhere said do not write from him 
ذاهب الحديث، ومرة: لا يكتب حديثه
10) Abu Ahmad al-Hakim said : 
ذاهب الحديث
11) Ibn Hajar said in Lisaan : 
مشهور قصاص ليس يعتمد عليه تركه غير واحد وأفصح أحمد بن حنبل فقال كان يكذب على وهب بن منبه وقال البخاري ذاهب الحديث وقال العقيلي حدثنا محمد بن الحسين الأنماطي حدثنا عبد المنعم بن إدريس عن أبيه عن وهب بن منبه عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما عن النبي صلى الله عليه

Another narrator, his father who is –إدريس بن سنان- even he has been deemed weak about whom
12) أبو أحمد بن عدي said : 
ليس له كبير رواية و أحاديثه معدودة و أرجو أنه من الضعفاء الذين يكتب حديثهم .
13) Ibn Hajar also deemed him weak in Taqreeb at-Tahdheeb (294) .
14) Daraqutni said matrook 
15) Likewise adh-Dhahabi said أحد الضعفاء
The comments of scholars on this narration (taken and translated from أبو هشام عبدالرحمن ضياء قاضي )
1) Imam ibn Jawzi rahimahullah has brought this narration in his al-Mawdoo`at (1/301) said :   
هَذَا حَدِيث مَوْضُوع محَال كافأ الله من وَضعه وقبح من يشين الشَّرِيعَة بِمثل هَذَا التَّخْلِيط الْبَارِد وَالْكَلَام الَّذِي لَا يَلِيق بالرسول صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلا بالصحابة، .
This is a fabricated narration . May allah deal (harshly) with him who fabricated this narration and destroy him who tried to taint the shar`iah using such a disgusting statement which is not befitting the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) or his companions .
2) Likewise As-Suyuti brought this narration in al-Mawdoo`at اللآلئ المصنوعة في الأحاديث الموضوعة (1/257) and said : 
This is mawdoo` and fabricated. It’s cause is `Abdul Muneem
